Strategic Planning and Sustainable Professional Skills Development: Towards Enhancing Institutional Performance in Governmental Health Institutions

This study aimed to analyze the impact of strategic planning on the development of sustainable professional skills for human resources, and the role of these skills as a mediating variable in improving sustainable institutional performance, within the context of government health institutions. The study adopted a qualitative analytical approach, conducting semi-structured interviews with a purposive sample of 37 administrative and technical leaders and employees in government health institutions, analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed a clear positive impact of strategic planning on guiding training programs, identifying future skills, and transforming professional development from ad hoc practices to a sustainable path, and that sustainable professional skills development serves as a key mediating mechanism between strategic planning and sustainable institutional performance.
